Info on Bonanza Opal Mine

The Bonanza opal mine is located about 20 miles west of Denio Junction, Nevada. Just on the Oregon/Nevada Border. It cost 50$ per person 12 and over and it was so much fun- I will take pics of opals and blog them tomorrow- We have several- Black opals, white, green - some actual tree twigs that are opalized! Black opals are worth in perfect condition $2000 dollars a carat-Can't wait to have then polished and shined and see what we can make- We are headed back down there the end of July for anyone who is interested-If you want to know more - search Royal peacock opal mine nevada and it will tell you everything- we are going to the Royal Peacock next trip and back to the bonanza- You can dig in the bank at Roal not just the tailings like the Bonanza-

Micro Bursts- Poor Poor Pool!

This Micro was INSANE! There was dirt and dust everywhere!It lasted almost 48 hours!!

Yes, This is real- We topped off in McDermitt Nevada and paid $100 for 18.59 gallons of diesel.

Harley Harley...

Ray finally got his Harley - it has been fun! Our first ride-poker run style for the March of Dimes is June 1st - We'll see how it goes!
